Bonner Springs is a river city in Johnson, Wyandotte and Leavenworth counties in the U.S state of Kansas. It is a village in the Kansas City, Missouri Metro Area. The population was 6,768 in 200 census.

Geography
Bonner Springs, base on the United Census Bureau, the city has a total square miles of 16.0 with a land area of 15.8 square mile and water of 0.3 square miles.

Demographics
As of 2000, there were 6,768 residents, 2,592 households and 1,824 families living in the city. Bonner Springs has a population density of 429.4 individuals per square miles. Tthe racial composition of the city was 90.20% White, 4.05% African American, 0.84% Native American, 0.46% Asian, 2.70% Other races.

The average income for household in Bonner Springs was $43,234 and family median income was $50,476. Per capita income for the city was $19,730.

Around 9.6% of the population were below the poverty line together with the 12.9% of those under age 18 and 5.4% of those ages 65 or over.

Cultural institutions
Bonner Springs contains the Agricultural Center and Hall of Fame, a privately-financed charitable institution charteredby the U.S. Congress to “ teach society on the historical and present value of American agriculture and to recognize leadership in Agri-Business and Academia by offering education, experience, information and recognition.

To add up, the Wyandotte County Museum and Historical Society is situated within the Wyandotte County Park, in Boner Springs.
Bonner Springs is the haven to Sandstone Amphitheatre which is a popular concert venue. The city is the host of a yearly Kansas City Renaissance Festival.
