History
Olathe pronounced oh-lay-tha is in the north eastern part of Kansas. A suburb of Kansas City it is the 4th largest city in Kansas city metro area. Founded by Dr. John T. Barton in the spring of 1857. The landscape was covered in verbena and other wild flowers. He turned to his Shawnee interpreter and asked "how do you say how to say "beautiful" in your native tongue?" Thus "Olathe" was born! Prairie Highlands is also 18 holes with green fees that range from $47- $72. Shadow Glen golf course is one of the most difficult in the area with 18 holes and green fees ranging from $85-$103.
